Greetings from busy downtown Wolfville, where we’re still celebrating the Axemen winning the AUS football conference championship!

In the meantime, I’m delighted to pass along an invitation to you from alumnus Gordon Laing ’82, to join him for some holiday cheer and to extend a welcome to Acadia’s new President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Peter Ricketts.

Gordon, President and COO of Southwest Properties, is giving us a sneak peek of their exciting mixed use South Park development that will include PAVILION condominiums, the YMCA Centre of Community and a residential rental complex called CURVE. The luxury project will bring a sophisticated flare to the ultimate in contemporary living though a trend-setting, urban-chic design.

As a welcome to Dr. Ricketts and in a nod to his fellow alumni, Gordon has arranged for us to have early entry to the South Park project’s model suite situated at award-winning Bishop’s Landing (Curve Sales Center, 1479 Lower Water Street) on Wednesday, December 13 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Drop in for a glass of wine, meet our new President and take pause from the hustle and bustle of the season to wish one another Merry Christmas.
