Brown Bag Lunch: "COMER vs the Bank of Canada"

February 11, 2016 (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm)

Location: Seminary House, Room 242

Did the golden years of Canada end 45 years ago? Government indebtedness has increased to almost $2 trillion dollars, $60 billion tax dollars are paid annually for debt charges, and the Government of Canada is now fighting against a court case, COMER vs Bank of Canada, that would return monetary control to the Bank of Canada. Those 45 years of lost control have seen the concentration of wealth and of personal debt rise to the levels last experienced in the 1920’s. What has been hidden for 45 years? Edd Twohig, former Kings North MLA, joins us to share his perspective on the issue.

This free Brown Bag Lunch is offered by Acadia Lifelong Learning. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
