Film Screening - Hi-Ho Mistahey!

You are invited to the screening of the documentary film Hi-Ho Mistahey!

Produced by the National Film Board and directed by Alanis Obomsawin, this movie documents a national campaign to provide equitable access to education in safe and suitable schools for First Nations children.

Darlene Copeland Peters, the Prevention Coordinator for Mi'kmaq Family and Children Services, will be providing a few comments before the film.

The film is being shown is part of the national Have a Heart campaign, which celebrates love and fairness for First Nations children.  

A petition will be circulated that calls upon the Government of Canada to comply with recent Human Rights Tribunal ruling regarding the systemic shortfalls in First Nations child welfare.
