Students, federal ministers, and Atlantic premiers share insights and ideas

Acadia University hosted federal ministers and the premiers of Atlantic Canada on Jan. 26 at the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre.

The group met with student leaders from Horton High School, Nova Scotia Community College, and Acadia to discuss innovative ways to grow the economy. The ministers and premiers also asked the students about top-of-mind issues affecting them.

The Honourable Scott Brison, President of the Treasury Board and The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) returned to campus on Jan. 27 to tour campus facilities and see research first-hand.
