Acadia's Relay for Life celebrates, remembers, and fights back

Acadia University held its annual Relay for Life event April 2, 2016. Students and community members gathered to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease.

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser. Relays are overnight events where teams walk, run, or wheel around a track. Relay For Life also offered students a chance to hang out, make new friends, meet new people and do different things while working towards something greater.

This year, participants raised nealry $25,000 for the charity.
