Nova Scotia wildfires and evacuation

Dear members of our campus community,

Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent wildfires and evacuations in Nova Scotia. Acadia University is closely monitoring the situation with concern and is committed to supporting those in need during this emergency.

Students and employees who have been impacted can receive emotional support and access community resources through Lifeworks. Please call 1-844-751-2133 or visit the Lifeworks website.

For any safety concerns related to the campus, please contact Acadia Safety and Security at 902-585-1103. The department is staffed 24/7.

Although the fires do not directly impact our campus and the surrounding areas, we understand that what happens in the province affects everyone.

We are grateful for the government and community response teams and volunteers working tirelessly to combat the fires and protect human and animal lives and property.

Sincerely,

Peter
