From the President's Desk
Welcome to Black History Month
February is Black History Month across Canada and African Heritage Month in Nova Scotia. At Acadia, we are celebrating Black Joy! This theme recognizes and honours Black people's achievements within both the Acadia and wider communities.
Programming started on Saturday with Athletics honouring student-athletes of African descent, and with the Chapel hosting programming and a Service over the weekend. There are lots of events planned for February, so keep an eye out for more information coming from campus organizers.
I am deeply grateful to those who are working so hard to make these events happen, especially Dr. Claudine Bonner, Vice-Provost, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
For a current list of what's coming up, please see Acadia's Events Calendar.
