Something Special

We’re not quite sure how to say it – we’ve been trying for years. Acadia University has something “special.” There’s something that happens when you arrive on Acadia’s campus. It could be the small town, the energetic students, or the fresh air. Whatever it is, it keeps people coming back.

Located in the bustling town of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Acadia University is surrounded by world-class vineyards, cultural dining experiences, and tranquil farmland. Local food and scenic views make for an adventurous day of exploring the hidden gems of the Annapolis Valley. Within a 15-minute drive, the Bay of Fundy (highest tides in the world) is one of North America’s seven wonders.

Built in 1838, Acadia University is a monument to humble beginnings. Today, the small college atmosphere provides a comfortable pace of life with community at the forefront. With the university so interconnected it’s true what they say – “At Acadia, it’s hard to stay on the sidelines.”

Acadia University has the luxury of being located within one of Canada’s top wine regions. With the Town of Wolfville’s recent Citta Slow certification re-enforcing the importance of quality local food and healthy living mean you’ll struggle to find a bad place to eat out. The surrounding region boasts over 50km of woodland hiking and biking trails allowing you to take time and reconnect with nature.
