After the deportations of the Acadians, beginning in 1755, Acadian families were scattered. Some eventually reached France. Susan Surette-Draper will animate her talk with photos from her 2016 visit to France and delve into the lives, attempts at settlement and migrations of the Acadian people once they reached France.
Susan Surette-Draper is the President of Les Amis de Grand-Pré and author of the blog travelswithsuze. Susan explores Acadian history and the landscapes that inform it.
