The Paradox of Refugee Definition
The Paradox of Refugee Definition: Politics and Persistence As part of his PhD. dissertation, Dr. Rabindra Chaulagain spent four years interviewing Bhutanese refugees in Southern Alberta. He will speak about the experiences and stories of this population: who they are, how they came to be refugees and the challenges they have faced during their displacement. He will tie this into a larger conversation about how a refugee is defined and the challenges around this definition.
This public lecture is organized by Wolfville Refugee Support Network with support from Acadia University, Departments of Sociology and Politics
