Dr. Paul Corkum (’65) Awarded Isaac Newton Medal and Prize by UK Institute of Physics

Acadia University graduate Dr. Paul Corkum of the University of Ottawa and National Research Council of Canada has been awarded the Isaac Newton Gold Medal and Prize, the highest honour given by the UK Institute of Physics. Corkum is the first Canadian citizen to receive the award.

In addition to earning his undergraduate degree from Acadia in 1965, Corkum received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from Acadia in 2006 and was a recipient of the University’s Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2015.
