This course focuses on human development and learning across the lifespan. A primary focus will be on the emergence and growth of self-concept and self awareness in relation to the development of personal agency.

Human development is a lifelong process, which begins at conception and continues throughout the human life span. In this course, you will explore the growth that happens from the time of conception until death.

Topics include:

  • Relationships between life histories, self-concept, adaptations, and motivational states
  • Influence of cultural issues
  • Effects of life stage and personal histories on therapeutic and learning processes

The course places emphasis on providing experiences that will allow you to tailor your assignments to your professional goals.
