This course focuses on principles of traditional and critical organizational theory and their application to educational institutions. Concepts include bureaucracy, professional organizations, innovative organizations, learning organizations, and post-modern conceptions of organizations. Attention is given to principles of organizational cultures and politics and their application to schools, as well as its relevance to leadership and school development.
