Writing and Reading Critically 2

This course introduces students to novels, plays, and poems from the twentieth century and earlier. This course will develop creative and analytical skills and will provide students with strategies for writing clearly and persuasively.

This course is a continuation of ENGL 1423. The title indicates the dual focus of this course. This course is divided into seven modules, each of which is defined by genre. As you move through the course, you will read short fiction, nonfiction prose, poetry, drama, and novels, all while learning the principles of critical thinking and essay writing.
