In this course, you'll explore the influence of ethnicity, national origin, and culture on individual and population aging.

Topics include:

  • Social policies, programs, and services in different countries
  • Roles older persons play in cultures around the world
  • Demographic challenges from aging populations

You will build your understanding of both how old age is defined differently across cultures, and of the unique experiences of older immigrants to Canada.
