Meal and Conversations Event - International Day to Combat Islamophobia

March 15, 2024 (7:30 pm)

Location: The SUB - Main Floor

Ramadan Mubarak to you, your families and friends.

Join us March 15th at 7:30PM in the SUB for the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, as we enjoy traditional Tunisian food prepared by local catering company, Easy Peasy, and engage in meaningful conversations around the day's important message and call for action against Islamophobia.

The International Day to Combat Islamophobia is a day where we call attention to people around the world who are harassed, detained, imprisoned, or even killed for identifying, practicing, converting to Islam or being perceived as Muslim. For non-Muslem folks, this day is also about unlearning, challenging stereotypes and personal biases, and combating the root hatred that was reasoning to start this day of activism.

In recognition of this day occurring during Ramadan, we are providing a free meal for folks who attend the event while supplies last and will be holding conversations around what is Islam.

Thank you for your time and we hope to see you there.

This is event is being hosted by Acadia MSA and Residence Life.
