It has been a privilege and a pleasure to serve Acadia’s diverse community of faculty, staff, students, alumni and donors since 2013 as Executive Director of Philanthropy and Campaign Director, Campaign for Acadia. It never ceases to amaze me how passionate people are about Acadia, and how dedicated they are to Acadia’s rich heritage, its nationally renowned and personalized liberal arts education, and the tremendous potential of our graduates here at home and around the world.
My goal as Vice-President, Advancement is to encourage and strengthen the special connective tissue that binds our alumni and friends to one another and continue to forge lifelong relationships that will ensure Acadia’s place as a premier post-secondary destination for students everywhere. Our team, comprised of Alumni Affairs, Development, Communications and Advancement Services, is dedicated to serving Acadia by addressing the needs and interests of our alumni and community, ensuring that they are informed and engaged in the life of the University; by promoting Acadia’s reputation for excellence; and by attracting and stewarding the philanthropic support that is so important to Acadia’s future.
I look forward to building on the many achievements of my remarkable predecessor, Dr. Rod Morrison, who served the University ably and capably from 2012 until his retirement in early 2021. He was the architect of our successful campaign and provided steady and prudent leadership as we reached and exceeded the goal and navigated our way through a global pandemic.
I am honoured to follow in his footsteps and look forward to extolling Acadia’s excellent reputation to faculty, staff, students, alumni and our many friends, attracting and stewarding philanthropic support to sustain Acadia now and in the future. I encourage you to share the journey, and thank you for your very kind support.
