As Vice-President, Advancement, I’m privileged to spend time with alumni and friends of Acadia University. I’m always intrigued to hear about their Acadia experiences, and I’m constantly struck by the depth of their ties to the school. In Advancement, we work to keep those bonds strong and vibrant – to build lifelong relationships that will help ensure that Acadia remains Canada’s finest undergraduate university.
The Advancement team comprises Alumni Affairs and Development and, together, our group is dedicated to serving Acadia by addressing the needs and interests of our alumni and community, ensuring that they are informed and engaged in the life of the University; by promoting Acadia’s reputation for excellence; and by attracting and stewarding the philanthropic support, which is so important to Acadia’s future.
Acadia is a remarkable place – remarkable for its long and proud history, dating to 1838; for the beauty of its setting and campus; and, above all, for the quality and commitment of its people. Our faculty, our students, our staff, our alumni and supporters, and the people of Wolfville constitute quite a magical combination, and we greatly value their individual and collective contributions to Acadia’s storied past and its bright future.
