Acadia researchers lead conference exploring how co-workers get along affects productivity. Reported in the Chronicle-Herald.

Acadia University today announced that its Welcome Week activities for first year students, scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 4 will now begin on Sunday, September 5. The move is in response to weather information from Environment Canada in advance of Hurricane Earl, now making its way toward Atlantic Canada. The schedule change is aimed at ensuring students and their families do not have to travel if they feel that it is not safe to do so, and allowing students to take part in the exciting and important events Acadia has scheduled on Sunday instead.

Welcome Week at Acadia University is a time for new students to learn about our magnificent campus and community, meet new people and make friendships that will last a lifetime and get ready for the new experience of a university classroom.

Acadia University’s Board of Governors and members of the Acadia University Faculty Association (AUFA) have ratified a new collective agreement covering the period July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2014.
