Acadia students rally for Bay of Fundy

Bay of Fundy Mud
Lucky 7 for Bay of Fundy.

Led by the Acadia Students’ Union, dozens of Acadia students recently attended Waterfront Park in Wolfville, Nova Scotia to celebrate Acadia and the Bay of Fundy, and to support the Bay’s nomination in the New7Wonders of Nature competition. The region is the only Canadian entry left in the worldwide contest.

More than 30 students braved the mud and used their bodies to form the number seven as part of the recent Sprouting 7s celebration to promote the Bay’s candidacy. National, local, and provincial media were on hand to capture the event, which attracted people from the surrounding community and was a classic example of the Acadia Spirit at work.

Voting for the New7Wonders of Nature competition closes Nov. 11, 2011. Visit http://www.new7wonders.com for more information.
