Exciting Campus Wi-Fi Upgrade Announcement

Technology Operations is thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to the campus Wi-Fi in our academic and administrative buildings. This enhancement aims to provide you with a faster, more reliable, and seamless internet experience in the locations you need.

To implement these improvements, contractors will be working on campus over the next year. They will be entering various buildings and offices to upgrade the backbone infrastructure, including fiber runs between buildings and copper drops within buildings. Contractors will be clearly identified and will follow all campus safety protocols.

Our cabling partners, Telecon/Plexus, will be on campus starting Tuesday, Nov 5th:

  • Fibre Install Team: They will visit all buildings and enter network closets, mechanical rooms, and manholes.
  • Copper Install Team: They will enter buildings to install cabling for the access points.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period. As the project moves forward, the campus community will receive notifications ahead of any work being done inside buildings. We are committed to enhancing your digital experience on campus and believe these upgrades will significantly benefit our entire community. Thank you for your understanding and support.
