An updated version of the Sexualized Violence Policy has been approved by the Senior Leadership Team as of October, 2024. Thank you to members of the Sexual Health Process and Procedures (SHPP) Committee for their work on these amendments. The updated version of the Policy includes the addition of a new section entitled “Guidelines on sexual activity between employees and students.” This section lays out expectations around appropriate boundaries between employees and students. It is focused on promoting meaningful consent and preventing real or perceived abuses of power or conflicts of interest.

Staff and faculty are also encouraged to read Sexualized Violence Response and Education Coordinator Allison Smith’s important resource entitled We Believe You: A Guide to Responding to Sexual Violence Disclosures with Knowledge and Compassion.
