Friday, July 5, 2019
Registration Centre
Time: Open from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Clark Commons, 35 University Avenue
Drop by the Summer Reunion Registration Centre to check in and gather all your weekend essentials: registration packages and room keys, and to take care of last-minute details. You are encouraged to stay and enjoy fellow guests at your leisure.
Roy Jodrey Hall Residence
39 University Avenue
Alumni staying in residence during the weekend have the convenience of registering as soon as they arrive and then settling into their rooms shortly thereafter. Roy Jodrey Hall is located centrally on campus. This residence offers choices, including single room to multiple-room suites (i.e., three private bedrooms with shared sitting room and bathroom). This residence is equipped with elevators, offers local telephone service and wireless Internet access. For all those guests staying in residence over the weekend, a continental breakfast is served in the main level of Clark Commons each morning from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Shuttle Service
The Acadia Alumni Office offers a complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the Halifax International Airport during the weekend. Shuttle pick-up time at the airport is Friday, July 5th at 1 p.m. and delivery time back to the airport is 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 7th. Contact Sandra Symonds (sandra.symonds@acadiau.ca) to book your seat on the shuttle.
Meet & Greet Reception
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Great Room, Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons, 26 Crowell Drive
Start your weekend off at Acadia’s Meet & Greet! All Summer Reunion guests are invited to enjoy refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and live music.

Time: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
The Registration Centre is conveniently located at the class meeting locations in the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre lobby. All guests registering the day-of are able to do this at their convenience right before their class meetings.
Class Meetings
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Location: K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre, 32 University Avenue
Class photos will be taken during each class meeting. Class meeting locations TBD.
Lunch Social
Time: Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons, 26 Crowell Drive
Join us for a buffet-style lunch. Enjoy sandwiches, salads, strawberry shortcake and refreshments.
Class of 1969, 50th Pinning Ceremony
Time: 1:30 – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Great Room, Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons, 26 Crowell Drive
This special pinning ceremony for the Class of 1969 is being held in the Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons. President Dr. Peter Ricketts will host the ceremony. All Summer Reunion guests are invited to experience this event immediately following lunch.

Campus Tours
Time: 3:30 – 4:20 p.m.
There are three different tours being offered during this time. Sign up for the tour of your choice when registering for Reunion Weekend.
Campus Tour options are:
1. Tour the newly-renovated Science Complex
This tour will begin immediately following the Q & A with our Chancellor and University President. Dr. Anna Redden, Director of the Acadia Centre for Estuarine Research and Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, will lead it and answer any questions you may have regarding the newly-renovated facility. Tour will begin in the main lobby of the Pavilion at 3:30 p.m.
2. Botanical Garden Tour
A guided tour of the Harriett Irving Botanical Gardens is being offered, weather permitting. The tour will begin in the main lobby of the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre at 3:30 p.m.
3. Campus Tour
A guided tour of Acadia’s beautiful campus. This tour will begin in the main lobby of the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre. A shuttle is available for those who have mobility issues.
Musical Concert in the Garden Room
Time: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Location: Garden Room, K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre, 32 University Avenue
A crowd favourite with a trio of musical entertainment. David Parker (French horn), Jennifer Jones (violin) and Tara Scott (piano) will perform for all guests. A lovely way to wrap up the afternoon’s activities with this musical performance.
Alumni Banquet
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons, 26 Crowell Drive
Join classmates for a night of reminiscing, class yells, food and refreshments. The Alumni Association Awards will be announced during the evening’s festivities.
Night at the Axe
Time: 9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Location: The Axe Lounge, Acadia Students’ Union Building, 30 Highland Avenue
Everyone is invited to join the ‘Night at the Axe’ for refreshments and live music by the Miths -Mike Smith (’01) and Greg Milne. This duo brings a great mix of songs that span six decades and will get your toes tapping or dancing for sure. The newly-renovated Axe Lounge on campus is a must-see!

Reunion Memorial Service
Time: 10:30 – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Manning Memorial Chapel, 45 Acadia Street
Farewell Lunch
Time: Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons, 26 Crowell Drive
Meet your fellow classmates and Reunion friends for a farewell lunch with barbecued chicken and salads. A wonderful way to end Summer Reunion weekend!
Airport Shuttle Service Pick-Up
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Location: Parking lot at Christofor Hall and Eaton House
Those requiring shuttle service to the Halifax International Airport will be picked up at the parking lot located beside Christofor Hall and Eaton House at 2:00 p.m. on this day. The shuttle driver will ensure you are delivered to your destination.
