Multi-generational group of Acadia alumni gather in Hong Kong

A multi-generational, multi-cultural group of Acadia alumni gathered at the Kiangsu Chekiang and Shanghai Residents (Hong Kong) Association in Hong Kong for a traditional Shanghainese dinner on Feb. 16, 2023, with special thanks to organizers Andre Lau (’61) and Stephen Mak (’89).

Humanitarian Dr. Susan Crouse named 2023 Acadia Alumni Distinguished Alumni Award recipient

What a night in the beautiful Bahamas! A passionate group of Acadia alumni and curious and excited prospective students and their supportive parents came together on February 7 in Nassau at the Margaritaville Beach Resort to reminisce about Acadia and learn more about the University and its programs.

Spirited night all around at Holiday Skate and Carol Sing

Acadia alumni and friends ignored unseasonably warm and wet weather and turned out in fine style for this year’s Holiday Skate and Carol Sing on December 8. More than 50 people took to the ice with holiday music as the backdrop at the Andrew H. McCain Arena for a delightfully fun family skate and then headed over to the Wu Welcome Centre at Alumni Hall for a Carol Sing with Sarah Pound (’08).

A capacity crowd of Acadia alumni and friends gathered at McInnes Cooper, Purdy’s Wharf in Halifax on Dec. 7 for a Holiday Reception and to honour the 2022 Acadia Alumni Isaac Chipman Award for Excellence in Alumni Service recipient, Barry Taylor (’80).

Acadia names Nancy Handrigan Vice-President of Advancement 

Acadia University announced on December 7, 2022 that Nancy Handrigan (’92) CFRE has been appointed the University’s Vice-President of Advancement. Handrigan’s appointment became effective on December 2, 2022. She has held the position on an interim basis since March 1, 2021.
