The Acadia hockey Axemen faced off against the St. Mary’s Huskies in AUS pre-season action at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia on Wednesday, Sept. 21, and alumni were on hand to lend their support and celebrate a 6-4 Acadia win. Approximately 25 Acadia alumni attended a pre-game gathering in the arena’s multi-purpose room that featured news and information from head hockey coach Darren Burns (’95) and several team members, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs Ian Murray (’88), Executive Director of Philanthropy Nancy Handrigan (’92), Development Officer Len Hawley, and Associated Alumni Director Fred Gilbert (’65).
