Acadia alumni and friends gathered for a good old Maritime lobster picnic in the nation’s capital at the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Approximately 50 guests enjoyed PEI-cooked lobster and listened as Ernie Fraser, a local East Coast-style fiddler from Cape Breton, provided the entertainment. Folks were encouraged also to support a silent auction with all proceeds to the Ottawa Alumni Scholar Bursary to help a first-year Ottawa student attend Acadia. Executive Director of Alumni Affairs Ian Murray (’88), Executive Director of Philanthropy Nancy Handrigan (’92), and Development Officer, Athletics, Len Hawley were on hand to share news and updates about the University and reminisce with guests about their Acadia experience.
