Each year, we award more than $4 million to students in the form of scholarships, scholar-bursaries, bursaries, awards, and prizes. By maintaining a strong scholarship and financial assistance program, we are able to attract, retain and support our students.
As a donor to scholarships and financial assistance, you can direct your gift toward: general award funds or awards for specific departments, faculties, research, or athletic teams; any existing named awards; or you can create a personal legacy by establishing a named award yourself. The Clarke K. McLeod Pre Medical Scholarships are provided from the Estate of Dr. Clarke Kenneth McLeod (B.A. Acadia, 1922; M.D., C.M. McGill, 1927) of Millstream, New Brunswick, and Montreal, Quebec. The scholarships are available to selected students who have completed at least one year of study at Acadia, are registered full time in a Bachelor's degree program following the premedical program prescribed by McGill University, are registered in a full course load and maintaining an average of at least 80 percent on all courses with no grade less than 70 percent. The scholarships may be extended to the period of attendance at McGill University on the basis of satisfactory progress.
