University Communications serves the Office of the President to showcase and support Acadia University’s mission and strategic objectives.

Working with stakeholders across campus, we advance the understanding and reputation of Acadia University at the local, provincial, national, and international levels.

Our work is guided by the strategic plan, Acadia 2025, which is focused on transforming lives for a transforming world.

Our Portfolio

Media Relations and News

We are the official spokespeople for Acadia University and the point of contact for journalists. We share campus news, lead crisis communication responses, provide executive counsel, media coaching, and media monitoring.

Internal Communications

We manage the Campus News email newsletter, messages from the President’s Desk, and official communication from the executive of Acadia University.

We also develop the communication collateral for signature events on campus like Convocation, General Assembly, and Founders’ Day.

Editorial Guidelines

We provide up-to-date advice and information to ensure accuracy and consistency for non-academic writing.

We also contribute news and signature event content to the University's social media parent channels.

Web communications

We support the University website with engaging content on select, high-level websites.

Departmental and unit web trustees can get assistance posting content or adding events to the Acadia calendar by placing a request to Technology Services in the HUB.
