Marketing & Communications Office

Welcome to the Office of Marketing and Communications. We manage all media relations, official social media channels, strategic communications, advertising, and the maintenance of our University’s vibrant brand presence.

Our team is particularly engaged in curating and promoting campus stories and achievements across several mediums. We invite our Acadia community of students, staff, and faculty to connect with us, share your stories and news, and stay informed by exploring what we do and how we can help below.

What We Do and How we can Help

Media Relations & Public Affairs:

We’re the official news source and point of contact for all communications between Acadia and the media. We’re committed to providing transparent and timely information on behalf of the University while also helping to tell the stories Canadians are interested in, with the help of our subject matter experts and other community members, through interview opportunities. This team is also involved in crisis communications and other critical matters that need to be relayed to students, employees, and the general Acadia community.

Strategic Communications:

Our team works closely with the President’s Office, all members of the Senior Leadership Team, and department heads across campus to develop the strategy and delivery of key internal communication and channels. We aim to help everyone understand Acadia’s mission, show that the community is valued, address concerns, and highlight the campus as a vibrant place to work and study. We also create and collaborate with campus partners to tell and highlight the stories of Acadia’s people, achievements, research, and news through our website, newsletters, and event calendar.

Marketing and Branding:

We develop and maintain brand guidelines, assets, and resources for university-wide use. We oversee campaign strategies and the creation of graphic design and multimedia services of prioritized content and strategic initiatives. Our team also works alongside the Tech Services Web Team on website strategy, design, and development. We lead Acadia’s main social media strategy, content, and channel management.
