Interactive Multimedia Workshop
November 21, 2024 (2:00 pm - 3:30 pm)
Location: Library EAP classroom 236 - level 2
In this session, Michael Shaw will be covering how you can add questions for your students directly in YouTube videos and build presentations that run online. Discover how to use branching multimedia in Moodle so students can have a learning experience tailored to their needs. You will learn about reusable multimedia H5P elements (questions, presentations and videos) and how to use them to implement UDL principles. There will be an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning so please bring your laptop.
Here are some of the key things that will be covered:
- Modifying videos to emphasize the critical things you want students to remember by using questions that stop the video
- Creating online Moodle H5P presentations that include questions and help students review class material
- Using branching to provide students with unique learning experiences tailored to their needs
- Using H5P tools to implement Universal Design for Learning principles
