The Acadia University Recovery Program will promote technological advancements in forensic genetic genealogy, anthropology, and archeology regarding the possibilities of recovering, identifying, and commemorating Canadian MIA military personnel from WWI, WWII and the Korean Conflict.
This will be done by engaging in archival research, recovery field work, identification research and influencing policy change in Canada. The project lead, Dr Aaron Taylor is joined by his research team of Dr Kim Bergeron, Queen's University and June MacDonald-Jenkins, JD Consulting.
Professor Judith Leidl has been the conductor of the mural and guiding an all women team of Acadia University students and alumni in its creation. They are Faith Grant, Sofia Norris, Isabelle Lebrasseur, Bella Macquarrie and Isobel Leidl Wilson. Both Bella and Isobel participated in the Acadia University Forensic Aviation Archeology Field Trip, Austria 2024 lead by Dr. Taylor, Archeologist.
