Masako Iino is former President and Professor Emerita of Tsuda University, Tokyo. Her book, A History of Japanese Canadians (Univ. of Tokyo Press, 1997) was awarded with the Canadian Prime Minister’s Award for Publication. From 1996 to 2000, she served as the president of the Japanese Association for Canadian Studies, and received the Governor General’s Award in 2001. She has published widely in the fields of Canadian studies, American studies, and immigration studies.
