The course raises awareness of the relevance and importance of the law in business and enables students to use knowledge of the law to improve business decisions and avoid unnecessary legal difficulties. The key elements are the Canadian legal system; the basics of contracts and torts; and a framework for identifying and managing legal risks that confront firms.
