Student Ambassador


Student Ambassadors are in a position of trust, liaising directly with the public in-person and virtually. They often have responsibility for University buildings, rooms, social media platforms, and equipment. Ambassadors are often the first people that guests of Acadia meet and as such are responsible for the excellent first impression that they will receive of the university. Student Ambassadors are also responsible for providing excellent customer service and for providing accurate information about the university from a student perspective, directing visitors and giving them relevant knowledge of Acadia University and its facilities. Ambassadors will also be required to complete other reasonable tasks within this role.  


Duties and Responsibilities:  
• Providing campus tours  
• Escorting visitors to meet and greets with faculty/open lectures  
• Assisting with campus visits, on-campus and virtual events, recruitment events etc.  
• Answering general questions, including panel sessions, online chat platform  
• Meeting and greeting visitors  
• Basic administrative work within academic schools for outreach and recruitment purposes  
• Assisting the marketing & communications team with planning, creating and posting content  
• Networking with peers, faculty and staff for purposes of content creation  
• Provide feedback on how the campus tour student experience can be improved  
• Travel throughout the Annapolis Valley may be required  
• Additional activities as required

• Digitally Savvy . You know your way behind a camera or computer. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and video editing software is considered an asset.
