Mental Health

Welcome to the Counselling Centre

The Counselling Centre offers free and confidential services for all Acadia students and we are here to support your mental health needs. Counselling sessions will not be cancelled or impacted due to the faculty strike.

We use a Stepped Care 2.0 model of service delivery that strives to offer a 30-minute first appointment within 24 hours to create a plan based on your concerns and needs. Plans may include individual or group counselling, e-mental health options, and/or peer support.

Counselling Centre changes due to COVID-19

All Acadia Counselling Centre appointments must be conducted on the virtual platform or phone as outlined in the University and Public Health COVID-19 protocols. In-person appointments will not resume until face-to-face academic classes are approved to resume.

Please email to arrange an appointment with a counsellor. The Acadia Counselling Centre is here to support you.
