Residences & Housing

Parents and Supporters

Parents and other family members play an important role in the education of our students. Residence is designed to be a “home away from home” with safety, security and support integrated in all our services and facilities.

Students are encouraged to gain greater independence through living in a supportive residence community with access to Resident Assistants (RAs) and professional support staff available when needed.

Having your student away from home (often for the first time) can be tough for parents and supporters and we are here to help support you and provide information for you to help support your student through their time in residence.

Contact our office

We welcome parents to contact us with questions about residence through our office during normal business hours (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm) or in emergency situations through our Safety and Security department (902-585-1103, 24 hours day). We have a legal obligation to protect individual privacy but we always aim to help share general information to assist students and hear any concerns you may have.

Parents Program

We have a dedicated Parents Program which provides information and support to parents throughout the academic career. There is a dedicated Parents Website and you can register your contact details for updates from the program.
