Acadia University - Scholarships & Financial Aid - International Students

A bursary is granted primarily on the basis of established unmet need to students who are performing satisfactorily in an academic program as a full-time student.

"Need" is the difference between the cost (expenses directly related to education) to attend Acadia for an academic year and the resources you can contribute toward those costs.
Your "resources" include your parents’ contribution, your income (and your spouse's, if married), outside or private scholarships, student loans, and your other sources of financial support.

To apply, Canadian and American students must be receiving government financial assistance such as a Canada/Provincial Student Loan or subsidized US Direct Loan. International students (non-US) need only complete the bursary application.

The University reserves the right to cancel or to curtail any financial benefits in the event of a low standard of academic work or of objectionable conduct.

Please note: Acadia Divinity College students are ineligible for funding through these programs and should contact ADC directly with funding inquiries.

How to Obtain Your Student Loan Assessment

Provided below are instructions for finding your government student loan assessment. Your application will not be assessed until we receive your assessment electronically or in person.

Alberta	We require a copy of your: Assessment Results	Where to find the assessment: You should be able to print a copy of your assessment results from the AB Students Finance website. You will need to login with your user ID and password.
British Columbia	We require a copy of your: 2 page Notification of Assessment	Where to find the assessment: If you don't have the paper copy that you received from BC Student Aid you should be able to print a copy of this Notification of Assessment from the BC Student Aid. You will need to login with your social insurance number, application number, and date of birth.
Manitoba	We require a copy of your: My award info + My assessment Details	Where to find the assessment: You should be able to print this from the MB Student Aid website.
New Brunswick	We require a copy of your: 2 page Notice of Assessment & reassessment	Where to find the assessment: This is mailed to you.
Newfoundland	We require a copy of your: Student Loan Notice of Assessment	Where to find the assessment: You should be able to print a copy from the NL Student Financial Assistance Website. You will have to Login with your user name and password.
Nova Scotia	We require a copy of your: Funding Details & Application Status	Where to find the assessment: You should be able to screen capture a copy of your Funding Details & Application Status from the NS Student Aid MyPath website. You will need to login with your social insurance number and password.
Ontario	We require a copy of your: Funding Summary	Where to find the assessment: You should be able to print a copy of your funding summary from the OSAP website.You will need to login with your OSAP Access number and password.
Prince Edward Island	We require a copy of your: Funding Details & Application Status	Where to find the assessment: If you don't have the paper copy that you received from the PE Student Financial Services Office, you should be able to print a copy of your explanation of assessment from the PE Student Financial Services website. You will need to login with your social insurance number and password.
Quebec	We require a copy of your: Full Time Assessment-Financial Assistance Statement	Where to find the assessment: You should be able to print this from the Quebec website. You will need your permanent code and password to login.
Saskatchewan	We require a copy of your: Letter of Assessment	Where to find the assessment: This is mailed to you.
USA	We require a copy of your: We will use your SAR on file for Direct Loan
