ACADIA ALERT - Delayed Campus Opening (Weather)

Acadia University will delay opening campus on Monday, December 08, 2025 until 12:00 noon. All morning exams will be rescheduled to a later date and afternoon and evening exams will continue as scheduled. Conditions on campus will be assessed throughout the morning and if there is a need to remain closed a follow up message will be sent.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus until it opens. Residences will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open.

Withdrawals

To withdraw from Acadia, you must complete the form on the Hub to notify the Registrar’s Office. If you do not provide us with this written notification, you are not eligible for adjustments to your fees. We will not adjust fees after six months from the last day of exams each term.

No financial records will be adjusted due to reassessment of withdrawal date after six-months from the last day of exams each term

Refunds

A credit on your student account can be left there to be used towards future terms’ balances, or you may request that it be returned to you. To request a refund, complete the Student Account Refund form on the Hub.

Refund requests that are received prior to noon on Tuesdays will have a cheque available for pickup or mail after 1pm on Monday of the following week.

 

Withdrawal Information for:

Academic & Student Fees

  • Students who wish to withdraw must notify the Registrar's Office in writing.

  • Students ceasing their studies without written notification are not eligible for adjustments to their fees.

  • No financial records will be adjusted due to reassessment of withdrawal date after six-months from the last day of exams each academic term.

  • ASU health, medical and dental charges are non-refundable

Residence

  • New students cancelling room reservations will forfeit their $200 deposit.

  • Returning students cancelling room reservations prior to move-in date will be assessed as follows:

    • Cancellations received between January 1 and February 28 are subject to a $150 fee.

    • Cancellations received between March 1 and September 1 are subject to a $300 fee.

Meal Plans

  • Residential dining plans are only refundable upon withdraw from residence or the university. The cost is prorated based on the number of days you lived in residence from move-in day till date of withdrawal on your Academic Withdrawal Form. Some exceptions apply.

  • Meal memberships are only refundable upon withdraw from the university and an administration fee of $40 is applied. Any bonus dollars, complimentary incentives and guest passes are not refundable. Your plan is valid for the current school year only.
