F. Pauline Spence ('49)

Before her death, long-time educator Pauline Spence of Liverpool, Nova Scotia made provisions in her will to keep her love of teaching alive with the establishment of an endowed bursary fund of more than $1 million.

Dream Chaser Change Maker

Three alumnae have created the Dream Chaser Change Maker Award to provide financial support to an Acadia student and donate in their name to a UNICEF education program. 

Irving Centre

Two students, one from Saskatchewan and one from nearby Port Williams, are this year’s recipients of the Arthur Irving Scholarships in Environmental Science for undergraduate students at Acadia University.

The Huestis Innovation Pavilion will form part of a $22.25 million Science Complex renewal project and provide research and commercialization space that is well beyond Acadia’s current capacity. 

Stuart Rath

A new endowed professorship in Acadia University’s F.C. Manning School of Business has been created through an extraordinary gift to the University from Truro businessman and philanthropist Stuart Rath.

Thanks to the generosity of the John and Judy Bragg Foundation, up to 13 Acadia students benefit annually from the following awards, named in honour of former teachers who were Acadia alumni:
