Food insecurity is a persistent issue for many post-secondary students that has assumed even greater importance since the advent of the global coronavirus pandemic.

The relationship between Acadia University and BMO Financial Group dates back more than a century, and BMO has a long and distinguished history of philanthropic support for Acadia students -- generous scholarships for undergraduates, sponsorships for student-athletes, and contributions to enrich campus life are all part of BMO’s ongoing impact at Acadia.

Wolfville, NS (November 13, 2020) – In recognizing Acadia University’s 182nd birthday and National Philanthropy Day, President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Peter Ricketts and Campaign Chair Nancy McCain announced that the Campaign for Acadia has exceeded its $75-million target.

Acadia University is proud to announce a $2-million gift in support of the Campaign for Acadia from Nancy McCain (’82) and her husband, The Honourable Bill Morneau, dedicated to enhanced facilities and services for Acadia students.

Thanks to the generosity of the John and Judy Bragg Foundation, up to 13 Acadia students benefit annually from the following awards, named in honour of former teachers who were Acadia alumni:
