Acadia ALERT - Campus Closed (Weather)

Today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Acadia University will remain closed, with the exception of residences and Wheelock Dining Hall, due to the current campus and travel conditions. Wheelock Dining Hall may adjust their hours and any change in hours will be communicated through Residence Life.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Any events scheduled for today will be postponed or cancelled.

Organizational Change

A systems approach to change in organizations, illustrating the interrelationships of structure, technology, individual and group behaviour, and organizational climate. A seminar format is used, with discussion centering on a variety of analyses of organizational change, and a selection of case studies.

Organizational change includes topics as diverse as mergers and acquisitions, downsizing, diversity, succession, crisis management, and more. In this course, you'll learn why change occurs, alternatives and approaches to change drivers, best practices associated with change management, and why change succeeds or fails.

Topics include:

  • Factors that drive organizational change
  • Leadership
  • Changing corporate structure to respond to changing demographics and national cultures
  • Identifying online information sources useful for identifying triggers, signs, and symptoms of organizational transformations


This course is not intended to provide you with a broad overview of all approaches and theories. It emphasizes improving your analytical and management skills, with a special focus on combining traditional academic approaches with online information sources.
