COVID-19 tests recommended for out-of-province students

To protect yourself, your friends, and your community, Acadia University and the Government of Nova Scotia strongly encourage students that have arrived in Nova Scotia from outside of Atlantic Canada to be tested for COVID-19 on day 6, 7, or 8 after your arrival in Nova Scotia. Asymptomatic testing is an important way that we can all help reduce community spread.

  • Book your COVID-19 test online 3 days in advance.

  • The test site is located on the Acadia campus. Transportation can be provided upon request.

  • Although you are in quarantine, you are permitted to travel from your home or residence straight to the test site, and then straight back to your home or residence upon completion.

  • If you live on campus in residence, please email Safety and Security at security.office@acadiau.ca, with your COVID-19 test date and time, so they know you are leaving residence to be tested.

Regardless of your COVID-19 test results, you must finish your 14-day quarantine.
