As we approach the Labour Day weekend, I expect that, like me, you are experiencing mixed emotions of excitement and trepidation as the start of a fall term like no other draws near.

Today, August 31, 2020, Nova Scotia Public Health has advised the University that a member of the Acadia community has received an "indeterminate" test result for COVID-19. That means the test result was neither negative nor positive. Based on Public Health's assessment, the case is being treated as though it is a lab-confirmed positive to ensure all precautions are taken. The individual will be tested again before their 14-day self-isolation period is finished, as part of the testing strategy for post-secondary students.

Fall Orientation is not just for first year students this year, but rather an opportunity to engage with the Acadia community and get prepared to join us in a new campus experience (in person or virtually).

There will be a full schedule of information sessions, helpful tips & tricks to managing the year ahead, social events and opportunities to connect with your fellow-students, professors and student support members.
