Scholarships & Financial Assistance

With education costs on the rise, enhancing student assistance is a top priority for Acadia. Each year, we award more than $4 million to students in the form of scholarships, scholar-bursaries, bursaries, awards, and prizes. By maintaining a strong scholarship and financial assistance program, we are able to attract, retain and support our students.

As a donor to scholarships and financial assistance, you can direct your gift toward: general award funds or awards for specific departments, faculties, research, or athletic teams; any existing named awards; or you can create a personal legacy by establishing a named award yourself. Stefanie Conway Memorial Basketball Award

Established in 2021 by Stefanie’s family. This award will recognize a returning player who is a passionate about giving back to the community, especially working with youth. The recipient shall be in good academic standing and be selected on the recommendation of the Athletic Director in consultation with the women’s basketball head coach. The inaugural disbursement will be for the 2021-22 academic year. Stefanie Conway was an educator, world traveler, and community volunteer who held family and youth above all else. Stef coached youth basketball. She regularly attended Axewomen games with her daughter Maryn. She positively impacted the lives of many students as a teacher at Kings County Academy. Her career took her around the world where she gained many lifelong friends. After many years of successfully battling cancer, Stef passed away in April of 2021
