Each year, we award more than $4 million to students in the form of scholarships, scholar-bursaries, bursaries, awards, and prizes. By maintaining a strong scholarship and financial assistance program, we are able to attract, retain and support our students.
As a donor to scholarships and financial assistance, you can direct your gift toward: general award funds or awards for specific departments, faculties, research, or athletic teams; any existing named awards; or you can create a personal legacy by establishing a named award yourself. The W.T. Pound Family Bursary support the study of ecology and is awarded to a third or fourth year student in the Environmental Science program enrolled in one or more ecology courses, with preference for a student whose studies focus on ecology. The award is made to a citizen of Canada who is in need of financial support. This bursary was established in remembrance of Jessie Edith and William Thomas Pound; they are honoured by the family they created and encouraged.
