Milestones and Discussions

We have engaged with and heard from hundreds of faculty, staff, and students through town halls, working sessions, surveys, emails, and meetings.

We shared our first proposal on April 6. Between April 7 and 16, we held 12 engagement sessions virtually and in person, followed by sessions with departments about the proposed clusters. The second proposal was released on April 21.

We delivered our third proposal on May 20. Between May 21 and the Board of Governors Retreat on June 17, we have many more planned sessions with faculty, students, staff, the Alumni Association, the Indigenous Education Advisory Committee, the Senate, community, and other groups for further and continued discussion, dialogue, engagement and input.

We will also engage the Academic Planning Committee (APC) and Academic Program Review Committee (APRC) of Senate, and the current proposal will continue to be discussed at Senate in May and voted on in June.

The final proposed plan is due to the Board of Governors in June 2026, with a vote expected in July 2026. If accepted, the work of restructuring of the academic sector would begin, and full implementation will not take place until July 1, 2027.
