If you’re interested in learning biology by doing biology, Acadia’s program is the place for you. You won’t just sit in a lecture hall, you’ll roll up your sleeves in labs and fieldwork, and have opportunities for real research projects throughout your degree. Our passionate and approachable professors make science feel alive, guiding you through discoveries that spark curiosity, build confidence, and prepare you to take on the challenges of practicing biology in a world facing unprecedented environmental change.

Our curriculum is built around three themes—Health Science, Biodiversity and Ecology, and Genetics and Evolution—giving you a broad foundation while letting you follow your own interests. Along the way, you’ll gain the practical skills and critical thinking needed to tackle some of today’s most urgent questions, from the impacts of climate change to advances in medicine.

At Acadia, you can tailor your studies to fit your goals, choosing from a major, honours, double major, or double major with honours. However you shape it, your path will be hands-on, challenging, and unforgettable.
