During your time at Acadia, you'll make friends and you may explore relationships. You always have choices, including whether you want to take the next step in a relationship or end an unhealthy one. We're here to offer you support.
University can be a stressful time. Many students balance studies with work, volunteering, athletics, and other extracurricular activities, and you may have concerns about school, finances, and your future career. You shouldn't need to stress about your relationships. We encourage you to build your relationships on mutual respect, trust, kindness, and consent. Having enjoyable and meaningful friendships and partnerships can be a really positive part of your time in university.
You can also help make campus welcoming to LGBTQ+ students. We're proud of the support and advocacy that groups like Acadia Pride and the Peer Support Centre have contributed to the campus community, and we hope that you can respect and support your fellow students.
