The Acadia Globalization Award reflects the University's initiative to foster a diverse and inclusive academic environment and support talented students worldwide who choose Canada for their education. This prestigious award is designed to recognize the unique commitment and contribution to society made by international students who have completed their Grade 12 year at a Canadian high school, providing significant financial assistance. Valued at over $14,000 per year, it directly applies to tuition.
The financial award will be granted to all international students who:
- have studied in person at a Canadian high school for their entire Grade 12 year;
- are graduating from Grade 12 in 2027;
- meet Acadia’s admission requirements and are accepted into a full-time undergraduate degree program at Acadia;
- maintain a full course load throughout their program.
Please note: if you take a reduced course load, your Acadia Globalization Award will be pro-rated.
Continuous intake (online) courses do not count as credit-hours for award, bursary or scholarship eligibility. In addition, they are not covered by the AGA.
If, during your degree, you obtain Permanent Resident or Refugee status, your Acadia Globalization Award will no longer apply and will be prorated according to the effective date of your new status.
Renewability
The Acadia Globalization Award will automatically apply to each year of a student's undergraduate degree.
