Full-Time Students

Students registered in 9 or more credit-hours (3 courses) in a term are considered full-time. Your tuition, student fees, residence and meal plan costs are split 50/50 between the fall and winter terms.

Payment Due Dates for 2022-2023 Academic Year

All tuition, student fees, residence fees and meal plan fees are due on the first day of classes in September and January.

  • Fall Term – September 7, 2022
  • Winter Term – January 9, 2023

Any additional fees charged throughout the academic terms are due immediately.

Residence Fees

Residence costs vary depending on which residence and which kind of room you choose. Residence prices start at $5,735. Most rooms cost between $6,520 and $7,980. Please visit our Residence Fees page to explore your options.

Meal Plans

Meal plans for students living in residence start at $5072.15. Please visit the Meals Plan page for more details.

For meal plan options for students not living in residence, please refer to our Meal Memberships information.

Insurance

At the start of your first term each year, students have the option to opt out of medical and dental insurance. Please visit the Acadia Students’ Union for more information.

If you do not pay by these deadlines, your registration will be cancelled unless arrangements acceptable to Acadia University have been made with the Comptroller. A reinstatement fee of $50 will be charged and original course registration is not guaranteed. Acceptable arrangements include the assignment of required amounts from Federal and Provincial Student Loans.

Insurance

At the start of your first term each year, you have the option to opt out of medical and dental insurance. Please visit the Acadia Students’ Union for more information.

If you wish to add dependents to your Extended Health and/or Dental policy, you must contact the Health Plan Administrator before the last business day of the month in which your current academic year begins.
