Our small size and welcoming community make us a special destination for international students from over 50 countries. At Acadia, you’ll enjoy small class sizes, opportunities to participate in research, a top-rated Co-operative Education program, and individual attention from your professors.
Acadia’s campus is located at the heart of Wolfville, a charming town in the picturesque Annapolis Valley. You’ll experience life in a small, safe town while still being only an hour’s drive from the city of Halifax and its international airport.

The Wong International Centre (WIC) offers international students a “home away from home”. It was launched in 1997 with the generous support of Gene D. Wong ('49), Acadia’s first graduate of Chinese descent, to provide support and information for Acadia’s many international students. Whether you need advice on your income taxes or just need some help adapting to a new country, our staff are here to provide you with support.
The WIC is located at 27 Acadia Street and is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Centre offers Wi-Fi, a study room, and a kitchen where you can cook your favourite foods from home. You can also book the Centre to host an event.
