As part of a reimagined and redeveloped Student Union Building (SUB), the Centre will serve as a campus hub and a one-stop resource for services and programs for students to help promote health and wellness, academic achievement, and personal resiliency and strength. The revitalized SUB will concentrate student services in one open and welcome setting – health clinics, counselling, accessibility services, study supports, learning centres, wellness programs, clubs and more. The Centre will provide additional supports for Black and International students to promote cross-cultural competencies, awareness, and diversity and an expansion of existing supports for Indigenous students, including centralizing the Welkagnik (our Indigenous Gathering Space and Resource Centre).
Most importantly, the Centre for Student Success will maximize efficiencies by extending Acadia’s stepped care model of mental health services to include general health promotion, illness prevention, and harms reduction activities aimed at the entire campus – all vital services for the contemporary campus.
The Centre for Student Success embodies Acadia’s enduring commitment to a transformational student experience and we’d be so grateful for your support to help bring this vision to life. Give today to the Centre for Student Success.
